Video Script::

let's take a ride a really weird ride number 10 1942 oof electrique just a disclaimer these vehicles are all actual cars there were no mistakes in identifying ufos or submarines as cars even though it might look that way at first now this is a bit surprising even before the 21st century people looked for different power sources other than gasoline to power up their vehicles and behold the perfect example the electric egg designed in 1942 by painter and railway locomotive designer paul arzens the car had only three wheels and ran on batteries the material used in making its frame was plexiglas a lightweight next generation material at the time it might not be much in these days but in the 20th century the very idea was revolutionary and many people laughed at the battery driven cars number nine 1947 norman tim's special few have ever seen a design quite like this one meet the norman tim's special designed and made in 1947 the car was almost more an exquisite piece of art than it was an automobile the designers had carefully designed the outer appearance to resemble a raindrop the car even when it is parked and still looks like it is moving and flowing the name norman tims actually is the name of its designer who was an indycar racing engineer the car didn't boast any record sales figures like major car manufacturers yet it had an unforgettable design mark on the automobile industry number eight 1953 general motors firebird 1 xp 21. now don't confuse this with an airplane or a missile or a rocket just remember it's a car but its engine design and performance were designed so meticulously at the time in the 1950s it was an experimental car with a staggering horsepower of 370. the engine could spin at 26 000 rounds per minute for comparison the average car today usually spins at 3 or four thousand rounds per minute this was designed in 1953 by general motors anyone can see that the style and fashion of aviation and the beginning of the space race between russia and america greatly influenced its design number seven 1955 chrysler gea streamline x gilda the iconic vehicle brand designed this fin-themed car back in the 1950s to peak into the future the iconic shape was so memorable and unique especially the cone-shaped front region in fact chrysler wanted this to be an experimental automobile design of creative engineering and its main aim was to achieve an unmatched speed it's unclear whether the company was aiming for mass commercial production but the vehicle was a success story the unique aerodynamics and out of this world design not only turned heads towards the car but also enabled it to reach a maximum speed of 140 miles per hour that's an incredible and record speed at the time number six 1936 bugatti type 57s bugatti is renowned for the speed and power of its car designs that is their brand image and more importantly what defines bugatti but this brand was not invented recently and the company was famed for designing futuristic automobiles even in the early 1930s back in the 1930s etore bugatti and his son jean bugatti the italian car designer father-son duo was pursuing luxury comfort and power their pursuit became a reality with the unveiling of bugatti type 57s the flawless and elegant design could reach a top speed of 90 miles per hour this made it one of the most irresistible and coveted vehicles of its generation number five the pope mobile now this is a vehicle you'll never be able to get anywhere in the world why because it is custom made just for the man who is the spiritual leader of over 1.2 billion people on the planet the pope himself the vehicle was specifically designed for the pope after the assassination attempt on pope john paul ii the pope mobile is designed mainly to achieve two purposes to protect his eminence from bullet fire and at the same time to allow him to reach out to people while on tour how are these requirements achieved they installed a bullet-proof plexiglas bubble around it and left the two sides open so the pope still can be protected and he can reach out to people during his travels number four 1959 cadillac cyclone from the first glance of it you can clearly see that the cadillac cyclone is a car from the space age a shimmering metallic frame that almost allows you to see your face and the rocket inspired body shape made it one of the most unorthodox and unique design concepts of its era however the cool space look is not the only thing about the cyclone it had sophisticated safety mechanisms that were supported by a unique radar system the radars were fitted in the missile-like cones at the front of the vehicle and with assistance from some high-tech gadgets fixed inside the car they acted as an early warning system against potentially fatal crashes amazing isn't it remember we are talking about the year 1959 number three delorean dmc 12. if you are familiar with american pop culture at all you might recognize this beauty from the back to the future trilogy if you haven't heard of it the movies were about a teen who did a bit of time traveling with the help of a fast car and a crazy scientist well guess what they produced that car for real although the delorean motor company which had so much potential only made one car in its entire lifetime that car was destined to become a cultural icon the stainless steel exterior and the metallic gray texture gave it an impeccable look to stand out from the crowd yet the most extravagant addition was the gull wing doors that opened horizontally it was an exclusive feature at the time and almost gave anyone who entered it a feeling that they truly were entering a time traveling car number two porsche 918 spider do you think that there aren't any out of this world automobiles in the 21st century well think again behold the porsche 918 spyder an astounding vehicle that shocked the entire hybrid and electric automobile industry with a lithium battery that can keep on going for almost 30 kilometers at a cyclonic breakneck speed of 200 miles per hour i don't really know why they named it spider when they should have named it silver bullet or lightning neck breaker or something else like that and now for the number one strangest bizarre car but first if you like this video give it a thumbs up and hit subscribe and be sure to turn on notifications now answer this in the comments below which of these cars would you most like to own a time traveling delorean an airplane on wheels like the firebird your very own pokemobile or the next car on the list number one rinspeed skuba had any difficulty in pronouncing the name first don't worry about it this car is in fact another hollywood entree on our list and picks up the number one spot well it's not necessarily because it was the car that james bond the agent 07 himself drove in the spy who loved me interestingly in the movie he even drove this vehicle underwater seriously but swiss auto manufacturer rinspeed brought this ridiculously amazing car to real life fitted with an identical exterior to the famous lotus elise the skewba can submerge itself and travel underwater to a maximum depth of 33 feet there is a diving regulator system to support the passengers while they are underwater and of course it's not for sale and no regular cars can do this so don't think of swimming with your car on your next beach vacation but someday we might have production cars that can be driven underwater and on that day anyone could become a james bond if just for a few minutes
