My sister made a bunch of afghan blankets for our furniture - toilet lids with carpet on them - we even had a red shag carpet in our living room!
I'm glad that I didn't grow up in a house with such ugly colors and patterns.

I loved this era! Today everything seems to be white or gray... neutral.. I use my splashes of color ..makes me happy...Alll homes I knew growing up in this era were awesome! Well done Mel this was fun!!
My house growing up wasn't current with the trends, nor was most of my friends houses. I am grateful for that as most of them were pretty ugly.

This is a fun retrospection. For those of you who have endeavored to sit in a conversation pit, the lack of a grab rail made them suitable only for the people with good extensibility. To wit, this was a good way to break a limb while entering or exiting the pit. Lots of good memories whether or not we would want these decor items again! Thanks for a fun video!
