This Mustang underwent a complete rotisserie restoration. We sold it to a couple in Florida 10 years ago they've enjoyed it. They took great care of it and recently traded it back in. We have photos of the restoration.
EXTERIOR: It's a very sporty looking car. It has great lines and it's decked out with goodies: front and rear spoilers, hood scoop and sport mirrors. Even after 10 years the body still looks excellent. There's no rust, it is straight and fits nice. Someone did one heck of a paint job, it is polished smooth and glossy. Even the jambs are slick. It has a black power convertible top in real nice shape. It looks like the bumpers, taillights, handles, gas cap were replaced. The weather strips were replaced. It's sitting on beautiful 15 inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in BFG tires.
INTERIOR: We spent $1,000 reupholstering the front bucket seats, there were a couple splits. The door panels and armrests look like new. Excellent dash pad. The instrument panel is really good, not beat up or cut. It does have a retro stereo in the factory hole. The carpet fits really good, its slightly faded from the top being down. There is a set of embroidered mats. The interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is detailed real nicely. Great running 302 with an upgraded Edelbrock intake and carb and a Mallory ignition system. All the components are clean and proper. The battery is bolted down properly, correct fan shroud, squirters are hooked up etc. It features power steering and power brakes. The engine bay is real clean metal painted semi gloss black. Under the hood is gloss yellow.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean metal, under the lid and jamb are painted smooth and glossy. Reproduction rubber insulator over the gas tank, plaid mat, weatherstrip, well liner and tire cover. It also includes a car cover.
UNDERSIDE: When it was restored the car was flipped on a rotisserie. Every component was removed from the bottom of the car. It is all clean, rust free metal that was prepped and painted yellow. Then it went back together with new and rebuilt parts. The front end steering and suspension was rebuilt. The rear suspension was rebuilt and now has air shocks. The brake system was rebuilt, lines replaced, e-brake is hooked up. It has disc in front. The fuel tank was painted. It has a dual exhaust with stainless Magnaflow mufflers and turn down tips. Looking up at the motor it is very clean, fuel pump and starter are clean. The C4 automatic transmission is very clean. The rear end was restored, it still has its original tag on it. It's a 3.00 ratio, good cruising gear.
SERVICE: We inspected the car, and we reupholstered the seats and adjusted the seat tracks.
This car has amazing looks and style yet it's a pretty straight forward, easy to use car. There's no work involved with the power steering, brakes and top. It doesn't need any restoration, it's ready for shows right now!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
