$80,000 frame off restoration! Performance built 396 backed up by a 4-speed and a posi. It's looking good and exciting to drive!
EXTERIOR: With the muscle car wars in full swing people needed a truck but wanted a Chevelle. So here is the answer! GM designers did a great job making a good looking and practical vehicle. This one has a completely rust free body with most of the sheet metal being replaced with new. It was expertly installed with nice gaps and straight panels. An SS hood was installed, really dressing up the front end. Then it was professionally painted by Ross Jackson in the popular Lemans Blue and it is polished smooth and glossy. This one has the Custom trim level which includes a silver painted bottom and extra trim al around. The chrome, trim, emblems and weatherstrips were replaced. New tinted glass. It's sitting on 15x8 Corvette rally wheels with all new trim. We installed 4 new BFG tires.
INTERIOR: It is restored to factory condition from carpet to headliner. The carpet, upholstery, door panels, armrests, headliner and visors were replaced. You will be looking at a clean dash area with a new dash pad and a beautiful rosewood wheel. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole. Other details include a complete set of factory seatbelts and correct shift boot and bezel. New window cranks, handles, rearview mirror, heater control panel, vents and working dome light.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a restored motor compartment with great features including a professionally built 396! It's making over 400 hp. It's been bored 30 over, has new pistons, bearings, oil pump, oil pan, a 501 cam etc. 1969 heads with all new parts and upgraded roller rockers. On top is an Edelbrock intake with a new dual feed Holley carb and an HEI ignition. It has a set of Hooker headers. All the components look new: fuel pump, alternator, valve covers etc. The factory air conditioning has also been rebuilt using many new parts. The power steering and brakes were rebuilt. Radiator, shroud, fan and hoses were replaced. The wiper motor is new and the squirters are even hooked up. The metal surfaces are all painted neatly. No disappointments in here!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is straight metal beautifully painted like the exterior. The tailgate is clean and functions properly with new hardware.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame for a complete restoration underneath. This is as close to new as you will find. The steering and suspension was completely rebuilt and detailed. It has front and rear swaybars. New fuel system including a Rock Valley stainless steel tank. Great sounding custom exhaust with x-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The brake system was rebuilt, it has disc in front. Looking up at the motor it is fresh Chevy Orange with a polished bell housing. The trans is a 1969 close ratio Muncie 4-speed. In back is a 1969 12 bolt rear end with 3.42 Richmond gears and an Auburn posi. The floors are clean metal painted black.
SERVICE: Our shop inspected this car and fixed the reverse lights, calibrated the speedometer, serviced the air conditioning and installed 4 new tires.
This one checks all the boxes! Restored like new, detailed for car shows and the power train will show you a good time!
