#s matching, body of the frame restored to factory condition.
From the estate of Larry W Smith. He had an impressive collection of Chevys with the focus on rare Corvettes.

EXTERIOR: 1963 through 1967 the Corvette coupes are actually worth more than the roadsters. They made less of them and the body lines are incredibly beautiful. In 1963 the coupe is worth a whole lot more because it was the one year of the iconic split window. This one here is in excellent shape. The body is straight, doors fit real well. It has a couple of typical hairline cracks like most Corvettes get. Repainted it's original white color. It is smooth and glossy overall. The chrome, emblems and trim are very good. The glass is very nice. Weatherstrips were replaced.

INTERIOR: It's in excellent shape. According to the tag it was born saddle leather. The leather is glove soft and the seats are firm. The carpet front to back looks great. The dash area is in excellent condition. Gauges are clean, has 6,500 redline tachometer, the clock even works. Original signal seeking radio. Correct reverse lockout shifter, correct seatbelts. It has power windows. The dash pads are excellent. Door panels, armrests and knobs are excellent. Headliner and visors are mint.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is the numbers matching 327 with the optional high performance 340 horsepower. It has the factory correct aluminum intake, finned aluminum valve covers and chrome air cleaner. It also has the correct exhaust manifolds, complete ignition shielding and deep groove pulleys. It has the correct idler pulley and fat pulley on the alternator. Correct numbers on the alternator. Correct fuel filter and choke tube. Correct dated radiator, reproduction clamps. It all looks clean and proper.

UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame during restoration. This is the first year for independent front and rear suspension, both have been completely rebuilt. The steering is rebuilt. Original drum brake system was completely restored. In 63 they improved the brakes with 11 inch drums. It has a reproduction dual exhaust system with stainless tips going out through the rear valance. Looking up at the motor it spotless Chevy Orange. I see a correct fuel pump, starter, canister type oil filter and the lower ignition shielding. Correct, properly dated T10 4-speed. In back is the correct dated 3.36 rear end. The frame and chassis is smooth, clean metal with a nice semi gloss black finish. I don't see any damage in the fiberglass floors, the spare tire carrier is in excellent shape too.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and changed the gear lube in the trans and replaced the driver's mirror.

The split window is so iconic. They have proven themselves as a solid investment and continue to climb. A #s match, 340 hp frame off restored car will certainly give you a good return on your investment. I'm sure it will give countless smiles too!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
