1,680 miles since a ground up restoration. It is obvious there was no expense spared, the car was done right. It functions as good as it looks. The air blows cold, clock works, rides nice. My daughter asked for a beautiful car for prom, of all the beauties we have we picked this one. That says a lot, it says I feel it's one of the best looking and reliable cars we have!

EXTERIOR: The "square bird" is a very stylish design with character. This one is laser straight and fits right. Repainted its original Brandywine Red color. It's polished like glass but there are bubbles in the paint in various places if you look for them. The jambs are slick. Weatherstrips and sill plates were replaced. It looks like all the chrome was redone or replaced. It has dual deluxe mirrors. To make it even more stunning it sits on a set of sparkling wire wheels with spinners. It rides comfortably with a set of radial whitewall tires. The power convertible top is restored. The frame is painted, weatherstrips were replaced, power top pump and hoses were replaced. The top is upgraded with tan Haartz cloth.

INTERIOR: I love all red interior; it matches the exterior real well. It's been completely restored. The seats were recushioned and redone in genuine leather. It has white piping and stitching. Both bucket seats are power, and they work. The red carpet looks new, and it has reproduction Thunderbird floormats. The center console is in excellent shape. The dash pad is replaced. The instrument panel, knobs, steering wheel, glove box door, heater controls are all in excellent shape. New glove box liner with an owner's manual. Door panels and visors were replaced. It has red seatbelts front and back. It also has power windows.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's restored and detailed. The 352-300 hp motor was rebuilt. It runs smooth and strong. Rechromed valve covers and air cleaner. All the components look clean and proper. It has factory air conditioning, and it works! Upgraded Wilwood master cylinder. The engine bay is clean metal repainted red.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The lid pops open from inside the car. It is clean metal painted red. The plaid liner kit was replaced. It has a 5th matching radial whitewall tire and wire wheel for a spare.

UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is completely rebuilt. In back the bushings and shocks were replaced. New dual exhaust is neatly tucked up under the car. Rebuilt brakes and they are converted to disc in front. The fuel tank, straps and sending unit were replaced. Looking up at the motor it looks fresh. The freeze plugs, fuel pump and starter look new. The Cruise-o-matic trans also looks fresh. The rear end was apart and serviced. 3.10:1 gear ratio. The floors are solid.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and adjusted the carb and the timing. We replaced the wiper motor and repaired the cables, repaired headlight wiring, repaired driver's door lock and replaced a fuel line. We made adjustments to the hood hinges and a power window motor.

CONCLUSION: I picked this car and drove my daughter to prom in it last night. I love it even more today. It drove and functioned great. It got plenty of compliments and pictures too! I know there are some imperfections in the paint, nobody notices them, but this was a very thorough restoration. Ready to impress.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
