This is a very sexy car. Stylish lines and coveted in red lipstick! Restored very nicely in and out. I drove it home and it really impressed me. Rode smooth, functions very well and the optional Thunderbird Special motor gave it all the power it needs. The clock even works.

EXTERIOR: This has a really straight body. I don't see any rust, damage or issues. It has optional fender skirts in the trunk. The Signal Flare red is polished smooth and glossy. Way Sexier than a 2 tone red/white car. It looks like all the exterior chrome was replaced- hood ornament, handles, trunk trim etc. Keystone rechromed the bumpers and bumper gaurds. It has optional trunk mount antenna and dual mirrors. It still has the original chrome dealer emblem on the trunk. The stainless steel moldings down the side with the gold inserts and optional rocker trim were replaced. The only trim that's original is the windshield and vent window frames. The windows fit nicely, windshield was replaced. It rolls on a newly installed radial tires with reproduction hubcaps. Rechromed bumpers and gaurds, new rocker moldings. The white convertible top was replaced. The power top cylinders were replaced too.

INTERIOR: I am sitting in the car right now and it looks beautiful to me. In front is a new optional padded dash that fits right. The red metal trim has been repainted, the chrome knobs and bezels are good originals. It has a retro stereo in the factory hole, new glove box liner and the clock is working. The door panels are new reproduction with the foil chrome trim. The handles, cranks and armrests have been replaced. United Auto Trim stripped the seats, repainted the framework, recushioned and upholstered them. They installed the carpet and 3 yards of windlace. It has embroidered floor mats.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has the optional Thunderbird Special which is a 312 4 barrel engine making 245 horsepower. It now has an upgraded Holley carburetor. Complete engine rebuild with itemized receipt. It was bored 40 over, heads were rebuilt. Correct valve covers with the Thunderbird Special call outs, correct air cleaner was repainted. Fuel pump looks new, the engine bay is painted nicely, battery is bolted down properly and has a disconnect switch.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's all clean metal painted gloss red, weatherstrip was replaced. The cardboard filler panels and the trunk mat have been replaced. It has a jack and spare assembly. Replaced custom made well liner.

UNDERSIDE: Overall it looks nice. Maintained as needed. The idler arm bushings, 4 shocks, upper and lower balljoints were replaced. The power steering control ram and hoses were replaced. It has a new dual exhaust system with glass pack mufflers and optional tips. Looking up at the motor it is still new looking. The Ford-o-matic trans looks fresh too. The frame is rock solid. Floors were cleaned and painted.

I like this one. The looks will grab you, the test drive will sell you on it. Not every 57 needs to be Chevy!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
