This woody has that cool California vibe. The stance, wheels and a surf board make it a fun people pleaser. Claimed to be a 43,000 mile car. Of course, I can't prove it, but it sure has qualities of a low mile original car. It was the lowest production and highest cost car in the Ford lineup.

EXTERIOR: The metal is pristine; every square inch is laser straight. The panels line up great, no rust or damage. The black paint is like a mirror! Correctly replaced Birch and Mahogany wood by woody specialists: Wood by Whiskers. The wood and stain is pristine, the clear is peeling in places. All the chrome is shiny and straight. The glass is all very clear. The tire/wheel combination really makes this car. Coker Classic radial wide whitewalls on new red rims with chrome hardware. It has the optional rear spare.

INTERIOR: Excellent condition inside. It has the optional 3rd row seating. They are completely reupholstered in genuine leather. Original type rubber mat on the floor front to back. New correct headliner and visors. The metal trim is repainted with the wood grain finish. The door panels are redone mahogany. The dash area is really nice - knobs, gauges, steering wheel etc. The original AM radio works, the dome light works. There is original literature and a vintage Ford dusting cloth in the glove box.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor compartment is detailed up very nicely. It has the correct Flathead V-8 motor. It idles down so low and runs as quiet as a moose in slippers. The motor is painted real nice, new chrome nuts on the heads, new spark plugs. The components are clean and proper. The engine bay is clean original metal, clean original paint.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The 2 section tail gate opens properly. The weatherstrip is soft. The rubber mat is very good original.

UNDERSIDE: The floors, inner rockers and lower quarters appear to be clean rust free metal. Overall, it looks proper, maintained as needed. Upfront it has 4 inch drop spindles. New exhaust system. New shocks in back.

I really like this car. It stands out amongst the others. It is not a body off frame restoration, but I think it's a really nice, unabused car. The fit, finish and function are great on this one. Woodys are fun!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
