Because laughs in advertising seem to be in short supply right now, here are some great funny ads from the USA in the 70s (or thereabouts). It was supposed to be a Top 10 but a few extras snuck in at the end...

That was great!
I never saw many of these; however, "Where's the beef?" became a legend, alongside the "spicy meatball". I had forgotten that Vincent Price voiced the Continental Insurance ad. And, oh, yes that Xerox machine!
Thanks Mel.
I didn't watch much TV in the 70's so most of these were new to me.
These were so good - I remember a lot of them from the day............
Yes I remember these and love to see the good old commercials! Where's the beef - classic! Thanks Mel it made my day.
Very good! Only two things; First, I'm old enough to remember most of them!! (I think my back just went out! and second, the Karmen Ghia one at the end amazed me because it's actually making the point of the competitor, They sure didn't have much power, but you wouldn't think that VW would have pointed it out in their own commercial. Of course, at least it's "truth in advertising".
I remember all of these. Thanks for the laughs. Clever advertising with no smut. Long live those days!
I remember every single one!
Way, way too funny. Looking back. Oh, the film quality was just terrible back then, but the commercials were all memorable. Where's the Beef . . . Clara Peller. I hope to laugh with her in heaven someday. I forgot about her and her expert driving skills.
Man I;m old. Remember them all. LOL
Thanks, Mel...I remember these from long ago. What joy to see them again.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Hilarious! A fun trip down memory lane. I had a Karmann Ghia and can vouch for that commercial!
Very funny, especially "Sara Peller" and (where's the beef) commercial.
I did not remember most of them, we were a military family and lived in Europe parts of my childhood. But they made me smile! Thanks for sharing Mel!
Back in the day when commercials were funny.
Very Fun to watch and MOST of it I remember distinctly--OLD AGE!!
