Video Description:
Take a trip back to the classic American highway and revisit road trip stops like full service gas stations, Stuckeys Pecan Shoppe, motor courts, and Howard Johnsons. This video explores vanished roadside attractions including Wigwam Villages, roadside curio shops, Muffler Men, highway call boxes, and themed roadside diners. From Route 66 motels to drive in movie theaters, these places show how old highways changed before the rise of interstate bypass routes and modern travel plazas.

If I could bring one back it would probably be the Howard Johnson (HoJo). You could rest and eat before heading out so it served a dual purpose.
It's been a minute since I was on Interstate 40 West leaving Albuquerque and heading for Flagstaff, I passed those Teepees just before you get to the Painted Desert. I think there are only three standing. I didn't realize they were rooms you could rent at one time. Someone possibly saved the last three for posterity. I presume they are still there
