Video Description:

Step back into old grocery stores and revisit vanished supermarket features like S&H Green Stamps, individual price stickers, vacuum tube testers, and weekly promotions. This video looks at carry out boys, parcel pickup lanes, returnable bottles, glass beverage bottles, in aisle coffee grinders, and mechanical kiddie rides that once made shopping feel completely different. You’ll also remember cigarette vending machines, butcher shop sawdust floors, barcode scanners, price guns, and the Universal Product Code that changed grocery shopping forever.

I would bring back the coffee grinders or the kiddie rides -- my kids got to enjoy those.

I remember my brother and I going to the butcher shop with our Mom and for some reason they had the sawdust on the customer side. He brought his green army men, and we would make hills out of that sawdust and conduct a war while our Mom ordered her meat. LOL.
