  • Lola Added We have lots of Squirrel's around our house((yard)) My husband takes care of them and they never bother our house! They come. They eat. They go. Some people have trouble with them gnawing into their house, but we don't!! That was a friendly one!!
  • CharMaine Added What a great American story . . . beautiful friendship. God gives us the best gifts. Thank you Mel, for posting it. It made my heart happy.
  • Lynne Henderson Added Just wonderful. Proof positive that we can get along with nature if we try. What a beautiful pair.
  • Charlie Added It was great! Thank you!
  • Dee Added Thanks Mel. I love God's creatures and I feed them in my back yard - bunnies, squirrels, chipmunk, and birds galore. I especially love the cardinals, I had a special relationship with one but I think it is now in heaven. His family is still around tho. The animals are such company.
  • Mary Jane Added This was fascinating. I never knew there were ground squirrels so I learned a lot from this video.
  • Martin Added Loved it! About 20 years ago, my wife found a baby squirrel that had fallen out of it's nest. It was covered in fire ants and she knocked them off him and brought him into our house. She got on the internet and found how to make a formula and she fed him using a doll bottle. Over the next few months, she would sit to watch TV and he would come and sit on her shoulder. She named him Nuzzles. About 6 months went by and I told her that we needed to return him outside and she did. For a long time, he'd come down from the pine tree and sit near us, but he quit coming all the way to us. He was healthy and happy thanks to my wife.
  • Sher Added Another sweet and wonderful story that's so needed in these unsettling times. Thanks to Mel!

  • Ham Todd Added Amazing story!!
  • Helene Added Wonderful relationship! I have 2 foxes, 2 opossums, 7 racoons who all come to my house for food. I love it. The mother racoon allows her babies to approach me, but I will not touch anybody to keep them semi-wild. They all get along with the cats and even eat with them at times. Nature is beautiful. I love all of God's creation!
