Interesting, never knew this before.
loved it. I didnt know the history of the red painted barns.
I learned my new fact of the day! Thank You!
I'm now 79 and I too was a born farm girl. Today I was able to go through old pictures of myself, and I was on this farm in Michigan from 1946 to about 1952. Looking at the pictures all of our 5 barns were white with very long high up on the roof. This brought me a lot of memories there. Thanks Mel for helping me see these memories.
That was an interesting history lesson!
As a born farm boy, now 85 years old, I never knew this before. Many thanks.
