  • Robin Added I was 9 years old & lived on the Island. I remember buying my first album at the music store in Northport - Beatles 64!
  • Su B Added I was 15, living in Brooklyn New York and, although I loved their music, I hated the crowds. I remember going to a music store to buy their record, then going around the corner to check the price at another music store. The difference was one cent ($.01). I bought the more expensive album. LOL. I still have those circles of vinyl. Thanks, Mel.
  • Lovey Added lots of good memories - thanks Mel
  • kate meyers Added I had front row seats for the Ed Sullivan show, but when my parents saw "the frenzy in NYC " and all the "screaming teenagers", They told no way was I going to the show. I was a devastated teen whom cried for 2 days straight. Gave my ticket to my friend. I see the back of her head in all the old film of that show. Still love them and how much they changed music.

  • sarah Added I was 15 years old and watched The Ed Sullivan Show. My parents were not impressed by them but they never kept me from buying their albums. I'm 74 now and I have my kitchen wall decorated with their plaques and a Beatle's clock. I have 14 Beatle's Hot Wheel cars and 4 large framed Beatle's prints. Yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!
  • Mary Jane Added I was only 9 years old, but my sisters were older and they were crazy for them, so I was too.
  • Paul Added I was home from work and watched them on TV. Love their music. They were awesome and had wonderful years of success !!!
  • Edna Added I was 21 and married and pregnant with my first child, I remember seeing then on the Ed Sullivan show. The young went wild and screamed to the point of hardly hearing the singing, I like their music but was not impressed like the younger generation.
  • Randy Ferguson Added I was in Jr. High School in Riverside, California.
  • Cathryn Added I was in college, still living at home watching the Ed Sullivan Show. And there were the Beatles - never heard of them at that point.
  • Mari Added Where was I? I was dating my future husband. Whenever we were driving someplace, and the radio turned on automatically, it was playing a Beatles song. :) They never came to Wisconsin so I never saw them in person. I still have their original album. Thank you, Mel, for this walk down memory lane.
  • Becky Added Our lives were FOREVER changed when Ed Sullivan 2-9-64 introduced the Beatles to us on his stage with that big grin of his. My friend Sally in England gave me heads up when we were 13 yrs old. Watching with my parents & older sister I was so happy - Never will forget all the guys in school let their hair grow immediately after for the "Beatle Look" (we loved that)--fashion changed for all- the magic was here to stay & love grew-- Still lives in my -our hearts. Thanks for this memory -
  • Tom Added I actually got to see them in person at the Colosseum in DC. And I would stress “see them“ not hear them., Surrounded by screaming pubescent girls. If I remember correctly, the venue was actually set up for boxing, like a theater in the round. So in the middle, they turned everything in a different direction.. I got a ticket only because two neighbor girls had three tickets. At the last minute their friends, father wouldn’t allow her to go. So I just happen to be in the right place at the right time.
  • Carol L. Added I was at Philadelphia Convention Center watching them!!
  • Barbara Z. Added I was a fan from day one!! I have all there records in a box.
