A man and his chicken . . . do not come between them. I dare say. I've seen this before, so I wonder, are they still friends? Cuz once you got yourself a chicken, I encourage you to -- do not part.
What a wonderful story. It would have been interesting to know how long he had Penny, and if he has another chicken or pet now that Penny is gone. David is a hero for rescuing Penny.
