DESCRIPTION
An icon in American automotive design known throughout the world! Considered the junior Cadillac to consumers, it possessed the classic 1950's rear fins, plenty of trim to polish from front to back, and a very handsome look overall! Chevrolet called it “Sweet, Smooth, and Sassy!” in their advertising. Words that continue to ring true today, and a perfect embodiment of young mid-Fifties America! This second generation of Chevrolet Bel Air received a facelift largely recognized as one the most collectible classics today! Beginning with the 1955 model year, chrome trim continued to be draped over both the interior and exterior! The body grew crisp lines and smooth angles leaving a very clean appearance from all angles! They are now among the most collectible American cars throughout the world!

We are proud to offer this frame-off restored 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop finished in an eye grabbing two-tone Silver and Black combination with all-new Black vinyl interior from the headliner to the insulated carpeting. This Bel Air is unique with many custom options and features added including Dakota Digital VHX Instrumentation, complete Haywire wiring harness, tubular upper control arms & stainless tilt steering column by Classic Performance Products, custom louvered hood, electric auxiliary cooling fan, custom polished aluminum air cleaner & valve covers, wood steering wheel, smoke tinted window glass, Vintage Air air conditioning, power steering, powered front disc brakes, and chrome Cragar S/S wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 225/70R15 in the front and 235/70R15 in the rear.

This Bel Air is powered by a professionally rebuilt, small block Chevy V8 with a COMP Cams RV hydraulic camshaft, new pistons/rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, main bearings, cam bearings, lifters, gaskets, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel 600 CFM carburetor, HEI distributor, heat-wrapped tube header exhaust, and 3” dual exhaust with H-pipe and stainless steel mufflers. This mates to an upgraded 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and the original rear axle. The suspension system, entire braking system, body bushings, exhaust system, and fuel system are all new in the restoration process.

With only 193 break-in miles since completion, this Bel Air is a great opportunity to skip the hard work and get a finished show worthy car and enjoy it for many years to come. The tasteful custom work done to this Chevy makes for a refreshing take on an already well-established classic collectors' car.
