she scratches against the tree he tries she blows dusts through her trunk he tries she picks up food he tries it's so exciting to watch the determination on his face he is inseparable from his mum mum tries to copy everything she does he's an absolute heartbreaker every time that people come to meet him they leave with a little bit of their hearts stolen away he's hugely entertaining as he learns new things it started when we rescued some boom his mother from a trucking camp she was still carrying tourists for miles each day despite her being halfway through her pregnancy his unique personality was evident from the day he was born he would fall asleep on his feet from a care in the world [Music] Haven is learning everything that a little protected elephant should learn is exploring everything about his environment Haven is very attached to his mother some moon he's always with her [Music] much of the time some Boone munches away contentedly and Haven gets up to all sorts of mischief and adventures as he learns the fact is the elephant's can't use their trunks until they're about a year old so he gets frustrated at times this long appendage can just get in the way he's almost three months old now and a hundred and fifty kilograms can give you quite a fright he's getting too tall to fit underneath her now so he's learning how to duck integrating into the herd is vital for a new member the elephant experts want to ensure that he and the other elephants are safe so they're introducing him to the herd very slowly he's already formed a wonderful bond with sudor at the resident matriarch and nanny [Music] Haven will have many a happy year of the sanctuary and continue to grow and be safe like comment and subscribe
