For anyone getting message: "Sign in to confirm you're not a bot"

First try refreshing your browser or try another browser. If that doesn't work, read the following.

All the videos on my website are embedded from Youtube. From what little information I can find Youtube is testing turning off videos for certain users that are not logged into a Youtube account or using a VPN to view videos. If you have a Youtube account, please try logging in and see if you can then view the videos on https://mvotd.com. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off to view the videos. There are a few other work arounds but they are pretty confusing to use. If you have the skills you might try searching Google for "Youtube Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" for a fix. I didn't see any that looked easy. Our best hope is that Youtube completes their test and realizes this is a big mistake. Until then, please check in daily to see if you still getting the error message. Sorry it took so long to figure out what was going on with this. Mel

Description

We captured neat footage of some of the "wild residents" of the Northwoods on this trail camera set in a remote spot where the Nashata and Mithrandir Packs overlap.

The easiest way to tell the Nashata and Mithrandir Packs apart is by looking for Wolf V083, the “white wolf”. While V083 is not technically white, his coat has taken on a frosty whitish-gray appearance as he has aged, and this stands out from other wolves.

Anyway, Wolf V083 is the breeding male of the Mithrandir Pack. His mate is a 2 year old female originally from the Nashata Pack. In fact, this 2 year old female is the daughter of the breeding female of the Nashata Pack so some familial connections between these packs.

Nonetheless, both packs seem to be focused on scent-marking this area when they pass through, likely as an effort to announce to the other pack that this area is their territory.

Big thanks to the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund for their continued support of our project, which allows us to capture and share footage like this with everyone!
