All the videos on my website are embedded from Youtube. From what little information I can find Youtube is testing turning off videos for certain users that are not logged into a Youtube account or using a VPN to view videos. If you have a Youtube account, please try logging in and see if you can then view the videos on https://mvotd.com. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off to view the videos. There are a few other work arounds but they are pretty confusing to use. If you have the skills you might try searching Google for "Youtube Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" for a fix. I didn't see any that looked easy. Our best hope is that Youtube completes their test and realizes this is a big mistake. Until then, please check in daily to see if you still getting the error message. Sorry it took so long to figure out what was going on with this. Mel

Exactly 10 years ago, four teenaged best friends and brothers set out on a journey. A journey of music, an adventure of a lifetime. Now a decade later, they present to you another Redeemed Quartet original: one laden with a message near and dear to our hearts. The Voice of the Silent” is a call to prayer; an entreaty to listen. Will we stand for young and old; for yesterday and tomorrow? May God give us strength to side with the helpless and unheard in our generation- for as the song pleads with us— “the voice of the silent is calling out to you!”

Lyrics:

The Voice Of The Silent

He’s looking out the window
The tears run down his face
Trying to remember
The things he’d like to say
The jokes he used to tell them
The tales he used to spin
He longs for just a moment
To tell them once again

He lost his voice last summer
Now sitting in this chair
He‘s handing out a smile
He only gets a stare
The lessons he could teach them
They’ll never hear him say
If only he could show them
The way to live today

Chorus:
He’d love to say it
But he never got the chance
The world all around
Wouldn’t give a second glance
Behind the silence
There’s a beating heart, it’s true
The voice of the silent
Is calling out to you

Her tiny little eyes
Are grinning up at me
Her hand around my finger
She’s alive and she can breathe
But in a darkened alley
An unborn babies cry
Is smothered as a mother
Signs away a child’s life

A million little voices that you may never hear
A million precious heartbeats
Does anybody care
So many take advantage
Of children in this land
Behind the awful silence
Will no one take a stand?

Chorus 2:
They would tell you
But never got the chance
The world all around them
Gave no second glance
Behind the silence
Was a heartbeat there’s no doubt
The voice of the silent too long has been shut out

Chorus 3:
The old and the young
We toss them both away
We’re killing tomorrow
Neglecting yesterday
Who will stand up
If you never do
The voice of the silent
is calling out to you!

  • CharMaine Added So beautifully done. Such an important message. Indeed the people turn a blind-eye to the unborn and the seasoned in these last days. If you are reading this, thank your Mother, she didn't abort you.

I am quite surprised by the low number of views. The title gives it away. So how many launched it and turned that blind-eye. Continuing to overlook the need before us. They don't want to get involved or even acknowledge it is occurring. The daily child trafficking at our southern Border. It matters not to a cold heart. You can ignore it, but it is true, nonetheless. You will also stand before a mighty God someday and give an account. The Bible warns us there would be days like this and we have arrived.
  • Connie Added what a powerful song!
  • Helen Added So touching!
  • Johnny Added The song refers briefly to the elderly who are thrown away, but mostly is a plea for the unborn, asking the world to speak for the aborted, those whose voice is silent. There should be more songs like this, beautifully sung. Thank you, Redeemed Quartet!
  • patrick Added True, but sad.
  • Mari Added I completely agree with Sandi Angel; I second her comment.
  • Sandi Angel Added VERY powerful!! Yes, the older ones like me, no-one is listening to. We are those with wisdom!! We are thrown away unheard by our family and friends and the ABORTIONS, yes, throwing all those that could be the voices of the future!! We are KILLING the future!! GREAT job writing this Redeemed Quartet. I'm so glad you understand and wrote this!!!
