Video Description:
Earthquakes shake our world—but the REAL action happens deep beneath our feet. In this video, we explore what earthquake faults actually are, how they form, the different types of faults, and why they play such a major role in shaping our planet. From strike-slip faults to massive thrust faults, we break everything down in a simple, engaging, and science-based way. If you’ve ever wondered how faults trigger earthquakes, why certain places shake more than others, or how these cracks in the Earth create mountains and valleys, this is the perfect video for you. ---

Having lived in CA, it is true that there are about 100 earthquakes there a day. Obviously, most are never even felt as we move about the day; but they are recorded. I have personally been through two larger ones, and it is quite the experience. It is in that moment, you realize there is nowhere to go. Everything is moving. So, I ran for a doorway and held on. This is a fascinating video. Always schooling me, Mel. TY.
