Video Description:
Oatman is a mysterious and tiny town surrounded by the Black Mountains that overlooks the Mojave Desert. A little more than half a century ago, it was a prime strategic base for miners (there are still a couple of active mines) and those seeking gold. Like many other old towns, Oatman has become a ghost town.

Cool Mel-thanks
Mel ... I loved the piece on Oatman!! Many thanks!!!! Tom in Chapel Hill NC.
Ghost towns are fascinating. Trying to visualize the lives of the people and what was important to them - and how quickly things change. Thank you.
Looks like a lot of old gold mining history in Oatman.
I love Oatman! Been there a few times and would love to go again. I can now see that I've missed a lot. Thanks, Mel.
really good mel
Thanks for the adventure, dude. That is pretty desolate out there. Some of that stuff was really old and very cool. I can get so caught up in shops like that. Some years ago, we planned a day motorcycle trip to Oatman, but it got cancelled last min. I guess I can say I've finally seen it. Thanks for posting it, Mel.
Wow - what a trip!
Worst videography ever! Rapid scene changes. Panning way too fast.
He pans so fast, I couldn't focus my eyes on anything. It sure looks like a fun place to visit, though!
Wow this was so good. I was there many years ago and it looks like it hasn't changed much if any. This is a great video thanks so much Mel.
This video needs to be slowed down!
Don,t quit your day Job, Your knowledge of what you are filming was limited and in some cases inaccurate.
Great Video, will be visiting Oatman on my next trip to AZ Thank you Mel for sharing!
