Often people think there is something wrong, I can see how they would make that assumption, but hang on a second. As with humans, birds also like to sit under the sun. I have seen birds on the ground in the past and thought they were injured. I didn't bother them but went back to check on them and they were gone. Now I know what was going on. I'm really glad I gave them the space they needed for such important maintenance.
