Description

Peabody’s mom rejected him at 3 days old because he was too small. When his breeders found out he was born with dwarfism they wanted to put him down. But with the help of a lovely woman named Faith and a couple of adorable Frenchies he got a second shot at life.

  • BA Added AHH, How long did Peabody live? Thanks to the couple who adopted him and gave him a happy life. Thanks Mel
  • CharMaine Added Beautiful rescue story. Sadly, Peabody has gone over the Rainbow Bridge and ya know what? He is a Stallion in God's Kingdom . . .
  • Richard Copeland Added Faith; thank for being so caring and caring for Peabody.

  • Mary Jane Added This was heartbreaking in a good way. I am sorry Peabody didn't have a long life but happy the life he had was full of love. What more can any of us ask for. I pray you continue to heal and the pain diminishes every day.
  • mary Added i would luv to have an animal like Peabody - he's adorable. hope you are doing good, Mel.
  • Wandakate Added MEL, hoping you continue to feel whole again and keep these videos coming. I watch most of them This one was cute about the little horse. He had a good life even if it was short. My HILLY who was 14 passed from kidney failure on the 5th of Dec. Gosh I miss her sooo much. I had given her a great (spoiled) home for 11 years. She turned 14 on Oct. 1st So she was a little over 14. This happened just so quickly. She was cremated and her ashes were spread down at the Little Tennessee River here in my town where she and I would go to the trail for her doggie exercise. She liked it there and enjoyed that spot, the trail and the dog park too. May she forever be at rest in doggie heaven. RIP...
  • Dee Added Thanks Mel, adorable story. I pray you are recuperating quickly and getting back to normal. Happy New Year.
  • Lynne Henderson Added Awww so sad. At least the time he did have was good time thanks to a wonderful lady. What a sweet little fella.

  • Randy Ferguson Added This is such a sweet story of the rescue of Peabody, the Dwarf Horse. He had a short life, but thanks to his forever family, it was a happy life for him.
  • Patricia Yager Delagrange Added What a sweet story and he had a great "though short" life with those kind people.
  • Jenny Added Peabody was adorable. I find it sad that there are so many problems with the ongoing effort to gain smaller and smaller animals, be it horses like Peabody, or dogs and other animals. So many times there are physical problems that these babies live with. And many need assistance in many forms all of their lives.
  • mercedes Added Sweet video! I wonder what size horse the parents were?
  • Su Added God blesses those who reach out to those others who just reject without trying. Thanks for the video, Mel. (P.S. How you doin'? In my best Brooklyn accent.)
