None of us have ever played music together, but we decided to throw together a quick song to tell the world what a wonderful time we had at the Mountain Grrl Experience in Pikeville, KY, and call attention to the awesome work that folks are doing there at the Appalachian Center for the Arts to empower women in the region. The event was a fundraiser and all proceeds went to the Perry Cline Westcare Emergency Shelter and Educational Art Programs at the Appalachian Center for the Arts in Pikeville, Kentucky. https://www.theapparts.org/ There were dulcimer workshops, ballad writing workshops, local artists. great musicians, and more! There was even a spoon playing workshop, and I got to tell some stories...
