Description
Hello everyone and welcome back to Mystery Scoop. Russian street artist draws amazingly realistic portraits in less than an hour. Let's check it out!
Almost everyone has witnessed at least once in their lives street artists creating exquisite portraits in busy cities, unaffected by their environment. Perhaps you passed by and marvelled as a blank canvas transformed into a funny caricature or a lifelike image right before your eyes. Maybe you bought a drawing of yourself and had a really personal encounter with this type of art right there on the spot.
Nikolay Yarakhtin is a Russian street artist who works on the streets of St. Petersburg. He has been doing this for almost 30 years, using only pencils and fumes to transfer all of the anatomical qualities and distinctive marks of many faces onto blank canvases.
He has the ability to observe faces in great detail and meticulously recreate each distinctive feature. His secret to life-like portraits, he recently told Bored Panda, rests in the way he observes a figure. He was taught to view the figure as a whole rather than as a set of details. His art has garnered fame not just on the streets of St. Petersburg, but also on the Internet, where his precision has amazed many. He even accepts international orders through his Instagram page; all information is provided in the video's description below.
