At Elephant Nature Park today, two large yoga balls were given as special toys for Chaba and Pyi Mai. Without delay, the two happily launched into playing with them, occasionally joined by their mothers and nannies.

There is a stark contrast between elephants thriving in a safe, nurturing environment and those forced to endure a life of hardship. When allowed to develop a happy heart, play is as natural to elephants as eating and breathing. And truly — why would anyone want anything less for them than the joy of playing with happy hearts?
