Americans are known world-wide for our penchant for making animals part of our families. Most of the rest of the world seldom make their animals family members (e.g. don't allow them in the house). They think we are crazy people because we love our pets so much. Those folks have no idea of all the love and joy that they are missing out on. We, Americans, can't imagine life without our furry (or feathered) friends. I'll take America any day, twice on Sunday. I absolutely love my "kids".
