This kitten is "crying" for his mother. He is too young to be taken away from her. He needs the emotional stabilizing that ONLY SHE can give him. This kitten is only about 5 weeks old and still even has his milk teeth. Kittens or puppies should never be removed from their mother at best until the mother "naturally" weans them. The emotional loss to a baby less than at a minimum of 8 weeks is too traumatizing. Yes, people can make the young kittens & puppies survive, but it's at an emotional trauma for the baby who needs the security of its mother.
