Mama's Broke usual style is dark, globe-trotting folk vibes with rich harmonies (think Celtic, Ukrainian, Americana, etc), so I brought them to my favorite ol' hydraulic gold mine spot when they swung through our lil foothills town - thought it would match their musical vibe.
So imagine my surprise when then these dark folk magicians whipped out the sweetest rendition of this heart-melting country classic, 'Send Me the Pillow You Dream On,' originally by Hank Locklin.
I was done for. It's sweet and mellow, and I hope it slowly sinks into your bones so that you find yourself thinking about it later and coming back for more.
