Video Description:

A wild bear climbed a live power pole and was just seconds away from being electrocuted when a utility worker rushed in to help. Each time the worker got close, the frightened bear panicked and one wrong move could have seriously injured both the bear and the man trying to save her. The tense standoff continued as the bear clung desperately to the pole, refusing to climb down. But the worker didn’t give up. After several nerve-racking attempts, the bear finally made her way down safely… only to run toward a second pole before thinking twice. This dramatic rescue highlights the incredible risks wildlife workers take and how dangerous human infrastructure can be for wild animals. Thankfully, no one was harmed. And thanks to the worker’s persistence, this bear walked away safe and alive.

Being there at the exact moment the bear was there . . . it's a test from God. Will he help her, or won't he? The worker passed the test and God smiled. Whew. It was a bit tenacious there for a moment or two. Buy that guy a beer!

Why didn't the company turn off the electric current before endangering both the worker and the bear? Or, he could have sprayed her with bear--spray! She would have hurried to get down!

  • Sandi Angel

Bear would have been electrocuted, and the power would have gone out in many houses down the road. So glad it had a happy ending!
