The stages of winning over a cat are SO relatable

kitten in their mouth washing the kitten and I never heard an "eeekkk" of scare from the cat,
me or his two big dogs. That little cat lived for 18 years and every other big dogs we had over the years was loved with all the dogs, but none gave the cat a "bath".
Thanks Mel.
Purchased kitten by chance when returning home with dogs from a Volksmarch. They hung over the front seat just staring at this little thing sitting in my lap as I drove home, explaining to them, in a soft voice the entire drive, they had a new little sister and needed to be nice to her, all the while I petted her and then reached up and petting their noses. Ginger, the kitten, grew up to be their best friend, and later also became the beloved companion cat for another two large dogs after the first two lived until both were 14 years old. So pleased the video shows how understanding a caring, responsible pet owner needs to be when making such introductions, i.e., being there, speaking softly, and making sure her hands were ready to intervene should the dog decide it didn't want the kitty that close to its face. My little kitty was kept in the bathroom, with door closed when I wasn't home; door was open, but blocked with a baby gate, when I was home but busy. When home, and settled down for the evening, the kitten was brought into den and place on my lap for all their first face-to-face meetings, sniffing's, etc,.
