Video Description:
You’ve probably seen the ads on TV and online, that you may qualify for free solar panels. One elderly Houston couple took the bait and then called KPRC 2 Investigator Amy Davis when they realized they’d been hooked, tricked into paying tens of thousands of dollars for those so-called free panels.
The artful con . . . someday, they will get their just desserts.
There is a special place in hell for people like this who take advantage and lie to the public. At least there should be a huge fine to be paid to this couple and everyone else who was ripped off by these crooks.
People that do this earn a special place in hell. Disgusting and despicable. So glad the company solved the issue
I am so glad I sent the sales rep from Sun Run packing when he came to my door. He was very persistent but so was I.
It is very sad that there are so many crooks out there. Thank goodness they were able to correct
the problem. That must have been very stressful for them. Maybe they should consider a No Soliciting sign for the house and yard.
It is always useful to be made aware of scams as there are so many of them out there. Heather
Remember the saying from your parents/teachers/bosses from long ago - There Is No Free Lunch!
I've lost count of how many individuals came to my house or called me or sent me emails of this very thing. NOTHING in this life is FREE! If I want anything, I'll go to the store and buy it, but I won't buy anything from a door-to-door salesman, except Girl Scout Cookies.
