Video Description:

I colorized, restored, and created sound design for this rare home movie showing Palm Beach and Miami Beach in the 1920s. At that time, South Florida was entering its famous land boom: luxury hotels, Art Deco buildings, and lavish resorts began to flourish along the coastline, attracting wealthy vacationers from the North. Palm Beach symbolized glamour with its grand estates and exclusive social gatherings, while Miami Beach quickly became a playground of leisure, where people enjoyed bathing in the ocean, strolling the promenades, yachting, and dancing in vibrant nightclubs.
