Wonderful attempt to rescue some beautiful creatures. The unfortunate does happen -- just a little too late to save. Thirty days of starvation for the neglectful owner would seem reasonable. In the end, a magnificent horse shows us how to mourn a loss and then leave the past behind us and gratefully re-engage with life.
