Almost 3 years have passed since SanMeung was rescued from a zoo in Phuket where he performed for tourists. Now he enjoys every moment in his big enclosure, no longer chained or harmed or forced to do demeaning tricks. The lush green grass underfoot is kinder on his body than the concrete surfaces he'd known for most of his life. San Meung is our elephant of the week at Elephant Nature Park.
