What do you think is the most common cause of death among wild animals? No, it's not natural disasters or predator attacks. Not so long ago, scientists from Ohio revealed the truth. The researchers studied the lives of more than a hundred thousand wild animals from 1970 to 2018 and found that in 1 out of 4 cases people are directly responsible for the death of animals. And we are only talking about direct involvement, like deaths caused by hunting, poaching, collision with cars on the road or power lines. But there are also some indirect deaths which are much more difficult to reflect in statistics. In particular, environmental pollution and the destruction of different ecosystems. All in all, mankind owes a huge debt to the planet. And it's a very important question whether we can pay it back. However, each of us can do a contribution, albeit small, to this matter. For example, by saving an animal. Today we have some stories about this and some of them are the result of very happy accidents.

hello everyone what do you think is the most common cause of death among wild animals no it's not natural disasters or predator attacks not so long ago scientists from Ohio revealed the truth the researchers studied the lives of more than a hundred thousand wild animals from 1970 to 2018 and found that in one out of four cases people are directly responsible for the death of animals and we're only talking about direct involvement like deaths caused by hunting poaching collision with cars on the road or power lines but there are also some indirect deaths which are much more difficult to reflect in statistics in particular environmental pollution and the destruction of different ecosystems all in all mankind owes a huge debts to the planet and is a very important question whether we can pay it back however each of us can do a contribution albeit small to this matter for example by saving an animal today we have some stories about this and some of them are the results of very happy accidents let's get it on Puma in recent years buying a purebred cat for huge amounts of money while thousands of homeless kittens are locked up in shelters has been pretty much frowned upon more and more people adopt stray kittens and we're very happy for them Florencia Lobo from Argentina also decided to bring home a poor lonely kitten one day she was fishing with her brother in northern Argentina suddenly they heard a strange squeak similar to that of little nestlings when they searched around they discovered two charming kittens of bright orange color under a tree they decided to take them to their home in the province of tucumán but one of the cubs Danny died due to an injury to avoid another tragedy Florencia decided to take the second kitten Tito's who a veterinarian little that she know that she was in for a very unexpected surprise it turned out that she hadn't adopted a kitten but a wild jaguarundi cub instead this is the name of an unusual Puma that lives mostly in South and Central America the girl was shocked by the news because she hadn't noticed anything strange in the pets behavior well except for its hyperactivity but that's not uncommon in kittens teto bounced around the house so much that one day he fell and hurt his poor pretty badly by the way that was another reason why Florencia decided to take him to the vet even though the girl was really close to her unusual pet he did belong in the wild so Tito was sent to the Argentine animal rescue fund where he received treatment and was released Fox nowadays you can find all kinds of unusual and incredible tires but we'd bet that you haven't seen anything like this yet there's a live Fox stuck in this wheel we don't really know how it got there however it clearly spent several hours in the trap fortunately a man named Goff accidentally found the unfortunate animal on the road in Bristol and called a rescue team they spent a long time trying to figure out how to free the poor Fox for its trap without having to cut the wheel with special devices eventually they decided to use an unusual muzzle made of plastic which allowed the head of the animal to pass back through the hole when the Fox was finally pulled out the doctor saw just how exhausted it was the hind legs of the animal were bleeding and his jaws and face was swollen off to endless attempts of getting out nevertheless the animal was immediately given proper medical care and soon returned to its natural habitat bears this story began as hundreds of others did but at one point something went wrong sometime ago a South Carolina Fire Brigade officer noticed a box with three abandoned puppies on the side of the road of course he immediately took them to a specialized organization however when he looked closely he realized that they were not actually puppies but bear cubs the guy named Brandon Poole immediately contacted a wildlife protection team despised his little dose of begging him to keep the cubs as a result two of the cubs stayed in the shelter and the third was sent to the local Zoo however after a period of rehabilitation and complete withdrawal from human contact all three will be released [Music] wild rabbit here is another unusual incident involving a vehicle and a wild animal this unfortunate rabbit somehow got stuck in the engine of the car the car was brought to a workshop for a routine check-up but immediately upon arrival one of the mechanics noticed something unusual in the chassis imagine is surprised when there's something turned out to be alive apparently the bunny had been trapped for hours moreover even had to travel many miles in this position it's just amazing out a creature managed to survive under this condition to solve most likely he ended up there because the car had been used by the family for several years apparently that's why the animal decided to make it his home the rescue operation lasted about half an hour at the end the animal rushed away from the car nevertheless the rescuers caught the fugitive to take him away from the dangerous roads of the big city and set him free in a quieter place Wow I was really cool he's running a dead straight life just for us with his little bobtail going tend to the duck pigeon of course pigeons are far from being exotic animals we're used to seeing these urban dwellers pretty much everywhere we go however this doesn't mean that they don't need our help in difficult situations just look at this bird it somehow got stuck between the roof and the wall of a brick house how it ended up there is anyone's guess in order to free the pigeon the rescuer had to climb to the roof using a stepladder fortunately the bird was freed without much difficulty and a couple of days later he was released hopefully it is learned it's lesson and will no longer try to squeeze into such strange places squirrel get your handkerchiefs ready because this story is cute as hell a guy found a squirrel's nest on his bed some mother squirrel built it out of twigs and dried pines for it to babies and then she vanished soon one of the Cubs couldn't make it without its mother's milk and died then wildlife experts Christina and Michael stepped in they decided to take care of the second baby and named her Thumbelina of course it wasn't easy for the baby squirrel to lose her mother and little sister however her new parents did everything possible to surround the animal with care and love from the very first days curiously Thumbelina refused to try to get a coin see with any other squirrels apparently she didn't even consider herself one eventually she grew up to be a cute little introvert who loves to stay at home dress up in cute outfits and eat avocado arugula and sugar snap peas but you've probably seen this fly killing device known as flypaper at first glance it's really convenient and perfect so get rid of annoying insects [Music] but actually it can be a real death trap for birds rodents and even bats you can get stuck by accidents here's a victim of this device little pipistrelle luckily he was fortunate enough to be treated by specialists in time by the way not only do they have to pull the flypaper off the wretched creature but they also had to thoroughly clean his wings and body with water coconut oil and other products to remove the viscous substance toad here's a clear example of how waste produced by human activities can harm wildlife this poor toad got stuck in an old narrow pipe like a turtle in a shell the veterinarian named John Oh had to work hard to remove the animal from the pipe without damaging its skin [Music] there we go however special scissors and little patience helped him to conduct the rescue operation flawlessly feather tail glider we bet that this is the first time you've ever heard of this peculiar animal it's so tiny that most people just don't notice it the body length of these little creatures doesn't exceed eight centimeters and they only wave 15 grams feather sail gliders are endemic to Australia they can climb on vertical glass and glide about ten meters which is roughly a hundred times the length of their body if these creatures are so tiny though just imagine the size of their babies you can accidentally harm them because you simply can't see them on the ground or among the leaves fortunately this one was spotted in time but it wasn't a person who saved her it was actually a dog the pup noticed the tiny creature the size of a nail under a tree after she felt the animal weight less than a gram after she was discovered she was taken to a local wildlife hospital and cared for by Australian specialists just look at her picture in a small knitted bag imitating her mother's pouch just makes our hearts melt dude are you looking for new technologies and great gadgets are your thoughts focused on the future do you love huge vehicles and can't imagine your life without robots around here and visit tech zone and you'll find all this and more the link is in the description you interested great [Music] [Music]
