VEHICLE HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:
The first major Chevrolet truck redesign came about after World War II as the Advance Design in 1947. With a more refined, sleeker body that incorporated the headlights fully into the more squared front fenders, along with a full steel hood that curved downward to meet at the grill featuring horizontal grill bars versus vertical, and just tighter body lines overall. They were celebrated in all advertising as being bigger and stronger than their predecessors, and rightfully so!

Offered here is a beautifully customized 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-window Pickup finished in High Gloss Black over Black interior! This superbly solid pickup was sourced in 2013 by the former owner in near rust-free condition and selected for a full body-off chassis restoration to resto-mod specification! Beginning with the original chassis, it was fully boxed for reinforcement and fitted with upgraded crossmembers. The entire suspension system was upgraded to a C4-Generation Corvette independent front & rear aluminum components along with a complete RideTech adjustable airbag leveling system at all four corners facilitated by their Shockwave airbags, compressor, air tank, valves, and analog 4-switch control panel. It would then be painted in matching Gloss Black for a beautiful presentation before final assembly.

The powerplant selected was a Gen IV- 6.0L LS2 V8 offering matching 400 horsepower and 400 lb. ft. of torque mated to a 4L60E 4-speed overdrive transmission! It provides smooth everyday power and aggressive acceleration when asked! A new polished 3.5” aluminum driveshaft was supplied along with a new rear-mounted aluminum fuel tank, high performance aluminum radiator, CPP shorty exhaust headers, stainless steel 2.5” side-exit exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, power rack & pinion steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, Dakota Digital VHX specialty gauges, chrome tilt steering column, PSI powertrain control system, Haywire electrical circuit panel, and more!

The body was professional stripped to bare metal and prepped for a gorgeous, high gloss Black 2-stage exterior finish! This allowed for all new window glass & seals, all new body mounting hardware throughout, fresh weather stripping, new chrome bumpers; stainless steel trim, grill, & emblems; dual outside mirrors, taillight housings, door handles, and more! Inside in the cabin, you will find Vintage Air Gen II HVAC system, an insulated floor, new Black Vinyl seat upholstery, headliner, door panels, armrests, visors, window cranks/handles, and rubber floor mat. The steering wheel was upgraded to a 1961 Chevrolet Impala design along with modern electric wipers with new stainless steel wiper blades should ever get caught in the rain. The factory emergency brake remains functional as does the forward cowl vent for outside fresh air. The rear wood bed was refinished in oak, fully protected in polyurethane with polished stainless steel dividers and fitted with Chevrolet-stamped rear tailgate!

The visual results are outstanding and maintain a surprisingly stock presentation at a glance! The new Wheel Vintiques 16x8” steel wheels are also finished in black and wear chrome Chevrolet hubcaps and trim rings. Coker American Classic wide whitewall radial tires measure 235/60R16 allowing for a confident ride on the road. This wonderful Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup was completed in January 2020 and today shows just 576 miles on the odometer.
