Happy anniversary to Chendra! Borneo elephant Chendra was discovered as an orphaned calf in Sabah, Malaysia in 1994. She stood little chance of surviving on her own, so wildlife officials found her a new elephant family at the Oregon Zoo. She arrived Nov. 20, 1999, and has been a cherished member of the family ever since.
