    The adopter that let the roommate torment the cat, should have thrown the tormentor out on their ass. It is a blessing the original adopter no longer is near her and probably shouldn't be around any animals. If anyone torments your animals, they really shouldn't be near you or especially your children (for they have a dark spirit within).
