Description

The mischievous duo, PyiMai and Chaba (on the left at the start), at Elephant Nature Park have ventured off only to realize their mothers and nannies have yet to follow. With a few squeaks, the family is notified that the babies are calling for them. The reunion is joyous as everyone is happy to be back together again.

Wild and free elephants are renowned for their profound social bonds and complex communication. They form close-knit families and indulge in busy conversations throughout the day. In addition to social chit-chat, their vocalizations can convey warnings of potential dangers, fears of a family member straying too far, as well as mild or exuberant excitement. This musical scale ranges from low rumbles and deep-rich trumpeting to high-pitched squeaks and calls. They also express joy or warnings with the trunk slapping.

The distinctive low rumbles when they are all together exemplify the general atmosphere of the contented herds.
