Video Description:

Protecting members of the herd is a natural behavior of elephants, and this clip shows us another way of expressing love and care very well. After finishing her meal, KhamLa usually takes a walk, and this morning was no exception. Not long after she started walking, she stopped and slowly lay down before taking a nap, with other members of the herd standing guard closely nearby.

Elephants are such incredible animals to observe. That one elephant (on the left) put its left front leg right alongside the elephant laying down. Exactly where it needed to be to signal, I'm right here. Stunning for how big they are, they are incredibly accurate with their massive limbs. Truly amazing creatures.
