All the videos on my website are embedded from Youtube. From what little information I can find Youtube is testing turning off videos for certain users that are not logged into a Youtube account or using a VPN to view videos. If you have a Youtube account, please try logging in and see if you can then view the videos on https://mvotd.com. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off to view the videos. There are a few other work arounds but they are pretty confusing to use. If you have the skills you might try searching Google for "Youtube Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" for a fix. I didn't see any that looked easy. Our best hope is that Youtube completes their test and realizes this is a big mistake. Until then, please check in daily to see if you still getting the error message. Sorry it took so long to figure out what was going on with this. Mel

Description

When Blossom lost her mate Bud earlier this year, the staff at the Iowa cemetery pond where the two geese had been living took out a personal ad to find Blossom a new partner. And it surprisingly worked. Steve Hartman has more on how the new couple are faring in "On the Road."..

  • Karen Hunt Added I never thought of a goose missing its mate but evidently it happens. Sweet story; I am glad these geese found someone to fill in for the mate that went on to Goose Heaven.
  • Danny Added My great grandmother died young and is buried in Ohio with my great grandfather's name on the marker but no dates. That's because he moved to the West Coast after she passed, never remarried, and died in Washington State where he is buried with only his name and dates on his grave marker. Sometimes the other name on the gravestone relocated but isn't necessarily still alive.
  • Dee Added Awwwww, God bless the people who put these two geese together so that they would not be lonely. Darling geese and happy now. Thank you Mel.
  • Sharon Added I loved it It was the best of the best !

  • Sharyn M. Added Hi Randy, We're in the same club. After 55 years married to my husband, he died 7 years ago on Dec 24, so this week is much more sad for me. Our sweet dog went to be with my husband only 5 months ago, but I take every day and keep busy. I too don't want to date and just keep busy at home. Yes, I'm lonely, but I'm okay, My son is near so I see his dog and his dog stays with me when he's away. Mel, take care and keep busy, but cry if you want to.

  • Randy Ferguson Added I love this story! Sadly, I can relate, as I am a widower. It's been a little over 2 years since the love of my life relocated to heaven after 51 years of marriage. I still get lonely, sometimes worse than others, but I have no desire to get married again. Maybe in the future. Maybe never. Only God knows.
