hello everyone sometimes it's really hard to get to the truth and not only when it comes to the secrets of some ancient civilization it can also happen in our days it's gonna take decades before the truth comes to the light and the longer it takes to wait the more sensational the truth becomes in today's video we're gonna tell you the truth about some interesting stories let's get it on since 1997 nothing was known about the painting portrait of a lady by the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt it's believed that on February the 22nd the painting was stolen shortly before a special exhibition in a gallery during the renovation of the building the policemen only managed to find the frame few people believed that the painting estimated at tens of millions of dollars will ever be found but it was found in an unexpected way gardeners who were scraping ivy off a wall in the gallery came across an iron panel behind the panel they found a stash containing a bag with the painting turns out the masterpiece never actually left the gallery and still now the police aren't sure who organized the robbery of the portrait of a lady and why just for the money well who knows by the way just ten months before the robbery it was discovered that the portrait of a lady was painted on top of another painting by Clint which no one had seen since 1912 originally it depicted a girl from Vienna who died unexpectedly when Klimt found out about her death he decided to paint another portrait on top of it one day Steve Carter visited a web site about missing children the reason Steve was adopted at the age of four from a Hawaiian orphanage he grew up got married and was thinking about becoming a father that's when he had the idea of finding out more about his past but Steve didn't know that he would find information so easily on the site he found a picture of a missing baby and next to it there was an age progression image based on that picture suddenly Steve recognized himself he contacted the Honolulu Police Department gave them all the information they needed and then took a DNA test and he found out that his name at birth was marks Panama Moria he barns his biological father mark Barnes reported that Steve went missing more than three decades ago after his mother Charlotte Moriarty took the baby for a walk and just never came back so all of a sudden Steve Carter found out all about his past and found his father as well as two half-sisters and a bunch of other relatives the exploration of new lands has always been challenging and dangerous process and the Arctic is no exception many expeditions to this severe region ended tragically and some also mysteriously Franklin's lost expedition began in 1845 it was the fourth expedition of Sir John Franklin he was considered an experienced sailor and an expert on the Arctic and yet the expedition on two ships with a hundred and twenty nine crew members including Franklin himself went missing for a hundred and fifty years researchers and many scientists tried to figure out what happened to the expedition Franklin's men spent the winter of 1845 to 1846 on beach a Island where three of them died and were buried the ships were then courted in ice trap Franklin died on June the 11th 1847 the crew spent the winter on King William Island and on April the 26th 1848 plan to leave the camp and try to get to the river and then find their way to civilization but it looks like all the sailors died on the way search expeditions managed to find the remains of some sailors and some notes about what had happened it's worth saying that there were a lot of research expeditions they went looking for the ships - in the end they couldn't have just vanished but it seemed that the ships sank without a trace it took a really long time to solve this mystery the shipwrecks were only discovered in 2014 and 2016 most people have a friend with whom they've lost touch not necessarily because of a fight you know simply because life is like that right people move from place to place change jobs and schools find new hobbies these breakups happen all the time Jessica Stewart was only nine when her family moved to Japan there she met a girl named Fukui despite language and cultural differences the girls quickly became best friends and spend all their free time together the girls even saw each other their native languages after a year in Japan the Stuart family returned to Canada the girls then became pen pals but not long afterwards letters from Fukui stopped coming although Jessica had never forgotten her friend for 30 years she just couldn't find her she even hired a private investigator sadly her efforts were fruitless perhaps the story could have been just another sad story but Jessica got lucky she went to Japan with two directors to make a film about her search for Fukui there Stuart spoke to the locals and even appeared on television in the end she managed to get the number of her childhood friend she called her and even met Fukui turns out the girl never forgot about Jessica either that's why the moment they met was incredibly touching how would you react if he found a plastic Garfield shaped phone on the coast you probably fainted it was left there by some kids what if this happens on a regular basis in the 1980s the people of Brittany in France began to find these telephones on the coasts of the Arawa sea the Garfield invasion lasted for three decades sometimes the phones were found in one piece damaged almost beyond recognition okay okay it's impossible not to recognize this orange fuzzy cat in a year people found up to 300 phone fragments on the coast needless to say environmental s started to sound the alarm any plastic waste is dangerous for the environment luckily their campaign helped solve the Garfield phones mystery farmer Rene Morvan told an amazing story about the migration of orange ferns in the 80s Morvan was 20 years old and together with his brother he found a lost container that fell off a cargo ship and ended up in a sea cave most likely a violent storm flooded the ship carrying these fancy phones when the container hit the cliffs it cracked and some of the cargo broke while other phones were gradually being carried away into the sea in those years no one gave much thought to the environment so the brothers didn't report the discovery some crimes are solved by the police almost immediately right after they happened other criminal secrets cancer years to uncover or even decades in 1995 the police discovered two unnamed victims of a horrible crime by hopes they could identify them quickly but no one reported them missing and the investigation was stalled only in 2014 did Elizabeth and Marcia conscious relatives call the police and say that they've not heard from them since 1995 the 19 year old cold case started up again the victims were identified as Elizabeth haunch and her mother Marcia Hodge using the DNA of their relatives that's when information came in about Robert Hodge Elizabeth's father relatives claimed that he was the main suspect as it sent out they were right the police got a warrant to arrest 70 year-old Robert Hahn CH after the death of his wife and daughter he started a new family and didn't tell them a thing about his past and when some old relatives in quiet he always answered that Marcia took Elizabeth and went away a very convenient version that has nothing to do with reality but what's also frightening is that they could have been more victims a girl named Celeste Morello conches eldest daughter from another woman lived with her father for 18 months in the early 90s sometimes she saw Elizabeth and the girls became friends there are still pictures of them together when the last found out what had happened to a half-sister she was terrified and she often wondered what if the same fate would have befallen her and last but not least a bonus story mysterious cases aren't just about dangerous criminal situations and they don't always have to relate to something paranormal one Saturday morning on a street in Queens a married couple discovered a burger a nice fresh totally untouched in an out burger this network operates mostly in the Southwest United States in the Pacific coast very far from Queens the burger was just there on the sidewalk and it looked like some kind of glitch in the matrix the photo of the mysterious meal was posted on Instagram and then it was spotted by the media seriously you can find articles about this burger on several websites so after a couple of days and a whole bunch of imposters who tried to prove that a burger belonged to them the author of the picture got a message from a girl she provided the checks and told an absolutely amazing story a story that turned out to be true 16 year old Helen was on her way home to New York from San Diego she brought four delicious burgers with her she ate one on the plane and brought the rest to Queens but as the girl was heading for the stop she saw her bus about to leave and she ran Helen managed to get on the bus but her bag with the burgers broke she caught two of them but the last one fell on the sidewalk and soon became one of Queens funniest mysteries hey stop being lazy it's time to use that brain of yours welcome to brain time incredible facts from the past the
