300 miles on restoration, $100,000 invested! Sold new in Pomona California, documented with a Marti Report. It's absolutely beautiful in person. We're getting a lot of compliments because it's so nice and the the color is unique.
EXTERIOR: Stripped down and repainted its original color. There's no rust, damage, cracking, shrinkage or body work showing that I could find. It fits right and is arrow straight. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. It has the blackout hood treatment and red Mach 1 decal stripes. The jambs are painted slick, weatherstrips were replaced. It’s decked out with hood pins, racing mirrors, rear window louvers and a spoiler on the trunk. All the chrome and trim looks like it's been replaced. The windshield was replaced. Reproduction Firestone Wide Oval tires are actually radials! 14 inch chrome Mustang wheels look like new.
INTERIOR: Very nice deluxe interior. Dynamat sound deadener under the carpet. The dash pad looks new, instrument panel, vents, controls are clean. Reproduction rim blow steering wheel. The high back seats have good cushions and the upholstery looks great. Headliner and visors look new. Carpet was replaced. Molded door panels aren't new but very good. Upgraded 3 point retractable front seat belts. Retro stereo with USB port and speakers in back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Beautifully detailed, you will be showing it with the hood open! Professionally rebuilt 351 W in 2020, we have the invoice. It was bored, has 10:5.1 to compression, flat top pistons, new bearing kit, magnafluxed crank, cam and lifter set. As in Edelbrock upper end kit which includes aluminum heads and intake This one has a dual feed Holley carb with electric choke and a new MSD ignition system. Upgraded Borgeson power steering and power brakes, the booster and master were just replaced. It's also a factory air car but it is not fully hooked up. It has an Autolite battery topper, t's correctly bolted down. The radiator, shroud, hoses all look to be really clean. Ford washer bottle, the squirters are hooked up. The metal engine bay is perfectly smooth and clean, it's painted semi gloss black. Under the hood and the jamb are painted slick like the car.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted as glossy as the car. Inside is all clean metal, also painted champagne. It has a new mat, weatherstrip and sticker. Matching wheel for a spare, the jack is in the Mustang bag.
UNDERSIDE: Exceptionally clean underneath, the front end suspension and steering has just been completely rebuilt. Steering control valve and ram were replaced. In back the shocks are new and the springs have new hardware. The fuel tank looks fresh, sending unit is new. It has disc brakes in front drum in back. Brake lines and hoses were replaced, e-brake is hooked up. It has a dual exhaust with the crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and the factory quad tips coming through the valance. Looking up at the motor it's fresh Ford blue, the starter looks new. Correct 1970 top loader 4-speed. It has been serviced, the shift linkage is new and properly adjusted. The floors are really dry clean metal, they were prepped and painted red oxide primer.
SERVICE: In addition to our own inspection the car was at Mustang of Chicago July 13th, 2023 and $3,044 was spent on miscellaneous service. We adjusted the shifter linkage and reverse lights.
