The new phase II model was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healey’s, with a walnut-veneer dash, wind-up windows, and a 150 hp inline 6cyl engine. Improvements to the engine included a new camshaft and valve springs, and twin HD8 carburetors, together with a new design of exhaust system. Front disc brakes were a new option, and 2+2 seat versions were made. Option extras were similar to the Mark II. The main change being an upgraded interior that included ambla vinyl, with leather seats. This particular one is an excellent contender of one of the nicest examples being offered for sale and was a no expense spared $40,000 + ground up restoration!

EXTERIOR: Finished in a duo tone Red over black paint which appears in show quality finish. All the chrome and stainless trim shows like new. And was either replaced or refinished. The glass appears to be new as well as the weather stripping. The soft black convertible top is in excellent shape also. These last year models also received larger and separate turn signal indicators to be more recognized. Stone guards have been added to the headlight glass. New 15” 60 spoke chrome knockoff wheels have been fitted with Vredestein Sprint classic tires with only a thousand miles on them.

INTERIOR: The interior shows in stellar condition. The seats are complimented with chrome seat piping. The vinyl dash and door panels look new along with embroidered floor mats. The dash, glove box, sport steering wheel, and shift knob are made from a fine quality walnut and really add to the luxury of the interior. These last year models also had wind up windows along with wing vent windows. The dash and gauges look to be refinished and show like new. The rear seat is folding 2+2 style.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Under the hood has been refinished to the same quality as the rest of the car. Implanted is the 150Hp inline 6 cylinder engine which had a newly improved camshaft and valve springs for the last year model. Twin HD8 twin carburetors were added from the factory. Everything looks to be either replaced or refinished.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The trunk compartment has been fitted with new trunk carpeted lining. The battery has been replaced. Mounted on the back of the seat is a cd changer. The original Jack is included and in functional condition. All the jambs are painted nice and glossy, and the weather stripping is new.

UNDERSIDE: When the Phase II version of the Mark III was released, it had a modified rear chassis to allow rear ground clearance to be increased, for the lower hanging exhaust. This big Healey was refinished underneath with the frame being painted in matching red paint. A brand new polished stainless steel dual exhaust was installed.

Service: This vehicle went through our on-site inspection and passed without needing any mechanical repairs!
