Restored as a Shelby tribute! It has Shelby looks, upgraded performance and even air conditioning. We have a binder of receipts and photos of the restoration. We just acquired it back from the person we sold it to 9 years ago.

EXTERIOR: This fastback is decked out just like a Shelby including bullet mirrors, scooped hood with racing pins, Shelby gas cap and emblems. It even has a modern version 17 inch aluminum Shelby wheels. The body is clean, rust free metal. Painted classic Wimbledon White with Daytona Blue over the top racing stripes. It has a smooth gloss finish. The trim and chrome look great overall. Custom grill with PIAA fog lamps. Windshield was replaced, the windows are tinted.

INTERIOR: Overall very good shape with several upgrades. In front of you is a set of matched Sport Comp gauges including a tachometer. It also has a retro stereo with an auxiliary plug and kick panel speakers. A Shelby style steering wheel is on a Flaming River tilt column. Down on the floor is nice blue carpet and embroidered Cobra mats. The Lokar shifter has a digital shift indicator. There's a center armrest cushion console between the bucket seats, the back seat folds flat. It has racing lap belts in front, regular seat belts in back. I have the E-bay ad for the Carroll Shelby signed glove box door, it was $1,695!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's a remanufactured Gopher Engines 289. It's bored .30 over, has roller rockers, billet timing chain, stock pistons, Trickflow aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, JBA headers and MSD ignition. Dressed up with Cobra finned aluminum valve covers. It features a modern air conditioning system, upgraded power steering and power brakes with a dual reservoir. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator with overflow bottle. The engine bay is clean metal painted black and has a Monte Carlo support bar.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted nicely. Inside the trunk is lined with blue carpet.

UNDERSIDE: Complete PST front end steering and suspension rebuild. Upgraded with rack & pinion steering, polygraphite bushings, Koni gas shocks, front and rear swaybars and welded in frame connectors. 2 1/2 stainless exhaust with X-pipe and polished Magnaflow mufflers. Upgraded with drilled and slotted disc brakes in front, e-brake is hooked up. The fuel tank was replaced, and electric fuel pump and inline filter was added. Bottom of the motor has an extra capacity finned aluminum Cobra oil pan. The trans was upgraded with a remanufactured AOD (automatic overdrive) with a 2,700 stall and aluminum pan. The Raptor tag is still on the trans. Rebuilt driveshaft.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and we replaced the starter, positive battery cable, fuel pump relay, fuel pump, relay, fuel gauge and lock cylinders. We recalibrated the speedometer, charged the a/c and repaired the seat track.

This is a nice package of looks and performance. A real Shelby would cost 2-4 hundred thousand dollars and this one is better!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
