Wow, what a sleeper! Stock looking classic Ford has a crate Coyote motor under the hood! Only 400 miles on a top quality body off frame restoration. Built at a shop the specialized in Coyote swaps. Really, I looked at this car very closely when I bought it and it's exceptional. There is a difference; the chrome is show quality like a mirror, all new glass, laser straight body, and genuine leather upholstery without a wrinkle. Even better it's an amazing driver, 80 mph with one hand on the wheel and the other is around your sweetie!
EXTERIOR: All new design with a lower stance and it was 1957 so of course it has tailfins! $30,000 was spent on bodywork and paint! It's absolutely laser straight and all the gaps are consistent. The doors close like a new car. The red paint actually has some metal flake when you look closely, and it is stunning. The red and white are polished like glass. Brand new glass all the way around with new seals and fuzzy strips too. The chrome is show quality, there is a difference when you compare, the bumpers literally reflect like a mirror. The 300 came with the gold anodized side moldings that are timeless with this color scheme. Reverse opening hood with the bullseye stylized hood ornament. We just had the 15" wheels painted to match the car. They are wrapped in 225/75R15 wheels and new poverty style hubcaps as well.
INTERIOR: It smells like a leather store in here! Everything is absolutely brand new and totally sharp looking. Genuine leather hand fabricated upholstery that is comfortable and fits tight on new cushions. The door panels have been redone also with matching upholstery. The dash is painted slick just like the body with the same shine. The headliner, visors, rearview mirror, and carpet have all been replaced. It's equipped with a new Ididit tilt column and a leather wrapped custom wheel. Upgraded with a drive by wire gas pedal and a digital radio that fits in the factory hole as well. Even the dome light is working.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Holy crap, I wasn't expecting this! A new Gen 1 crate 5.0 Coyote engine generating 420 horsepower and 390 ft lbs of torque is now the power plant. It's equipped with a custom air intake to let the air in, and stainless headers to let the air out. It has fuel injection and a modern power steering system with remote filler. The brake master and booster were replaced with a nice chrome unit. It runs cool with the help of a giant polished aluminum Champion radiator that has an electric fan too. The engine bay is clutter free and painted real nice just like the body.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the lid and jamb are painted body color with a very polished finish. The weatherstrip was replaced. The remainder of the trunk is fully boxed with upholstered side panels. The floor is completely carpeted with bound edges. The battery is relocated to the trunk concealed in an upholstered enclosure. Absolutely no disappointments here!
UNDERSIDE: Immaculate! The body was off the frame for a complete underside restoration with upgrades. It has a new custom front subframe with tubular chromoly control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, rack & pinion steering. In back it has new shocks, springs, and bushings. It gets its stopping power from disc brakes at all for wheels. It also has new lines, braided hoses and e-brake system is hooked up. Very nice custom aluminum fuel tank with all new lines, pump etc. A geat sounding 2.5" fat stainless exhaust with X-Pipe and Flowmaster mufflers keep this coyote howling. Looking up at the motor it is spotless and has a high torque starter. A C-4 Automatic was performance built to handle the power, it has an aluminum pan to help keep it cool. A rebuilt driveshaft leads back to the 9 inch rear with 3.50 posi gears. All the metal floors, rockers etc must be new because they are spotless. They must have been installed at the factory seams because there's no patches. The frame was also prepped and painted.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and fixed the reverse lights, wired the stereo, installed a new speaker, lubed the speedometer cable, straightened the steering wheel, adjusted the hood latch, and painted the rims. The heater and wipers are not hooked up currently.
