Beauty and a Beast! This Pro Street has a performance built 454 and some massive meats in back if you want to launch it. If you feel like cruising in comfort, it has a/c, overdrive, and even power windows! It will turn heads too: beautifully restored keeping the appearance mostly vintage 56. It was born a Bel Air in these colors. From the prestigious Georgia Mountain collection.
EXTERIOR: With the exception of the aggressive stance and some very custom wheels, it is restored completely to stock. It was even born these colors. The body is in excellent condition. I didn't see any rust or damage. I was especially impressed with how square and flush all the panels fit. The doors even close like a new car. The paint is very smooth and glossy, just a few minor imperfections on the hood. It looks like the glass was replaced. All the chrome was replaced and still shows well. The stainless is straight and shiny. Modernized electric wiper system. Upgraded halogen tri-bar headlights. The wheels are 15 inch Torque Thrusts, extra extra wide in back with Mickey Thompson tires.
INTERIOR: It was restored from carpet to headliner. Reproduction door panels and upholstery with the chrome piping. Under the carpet is a layer of sound deadener. The dash has a nice blend of original style trim and updated with digital gauges and a pop out touch screen stereo. The heater controls look original but are actually updated with electric slides. That's a good looking wheel on a polished tilt column too. You might also notice some custom chrome handles on the door panels along with power window switches.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow! That's what they'll say when you open the hood. It's fully dressed in highly polished parts. The heart of it is a performance built 454 making about 450 hp. On top is a polished dual tunnel ram with a chrome Street Performance fuel injection system. The front of the motor has billet brackets with a polished alternator, billet pulleys with a serpentine belt, chrome a/c compressor and a polished power steering with a remote reservoir. There is a set of coated headers on it too. It has hard a/c lines and stainless radiator hoses. It runs cool with the aluminum Griffin radiator, electric pusher and puller fans and a polished overflow bottle. The power brake booster is chrome. The dipsticks are braided stainless. The engine bay is painted slick.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is all painted gloss white. You'll notice the wheel tubs for the massive tires lurking below. It has a custom carpeted mat, a CD changer, and a battery disconnect. Oh yeah, that vintage Coca-Cola cooler is actually home to the relocated battery.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was rebuilt and upgraded with tubular control arms and coil over adjustable gas shocks. Steering components were replaced. The rear chassis was completely reconstructed to accommodate the giant tires. It has a four link system along with coilover shocks. Great sounding dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel tank was replaced and has stainless braided fuel lines and an inline electric pump. Upgraded with disc brakes at all four wheels. Looking up the motor it has an extra capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. Upgraded with a 700R4 overdrive automatic. Custom made drive shaft goes back to a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end. The floors and structure is solid.
SERVICE: We ran it through our shop for inspection and replaced the fuel system: tank, sending unit, electric pump, filter, fuel pressure gauge, injector and TPS. We recharged the a/c, reprogramed the speedometer, flushed the power steering system and serviced the rear brakes.
This ride offers nostalgia, brute muscle and comfort! Didn't know that was possible but here it is. It will fulfill whatever mood you are in!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
