This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air has an old school, mild custom look with fantastic tasteful options. When Chevrolet released its passenger car line for 1955, complete with an entirely new design, the GM marque kicked off a period now known as the Tri-Five era. At the end of 1955 in November, the second generation, 1956 model year, Tri-Five Chevys were introduced to its dealers. Both inside and out, the new '56 Chevrolets has a brand new look. The Bel Air sat atop the Chevrolet passenger car hierarchy, above the entry-level 150 and intermediate 210 models. The Bel Air came equipped with fantastic options as standard equipment including a clock and lockable gloveboxes. Powering this '56 Chevy is a 265 V8 engine fed by a single 4 barrel carburetor. Backing the 265 V8 is an easy to drive, powerglide automatic transmission. The instrument cluster is equipped with a 110 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge. The dash is finished with a push-button AM radio, clock, integrated speaker with an anodized Bel Air script emblem, and locking glovebox.
