A strong sounding example of a tapered braced D-28! With a few exceptions in '47, 1946 was the last year that the iconic herringbone perfling was used. This was due to the fact that the purfling was manufactured in pre-World War II Germany and was not replaceable from American sources. https://cartervintage.com
